Divisions And Job Functions
Risk aims to effectively identify, monitor, evaluate and manage the firm’s financial and operational risks - including reputational risk - in support of the firm’s strategic plan. Operating in a fast-changing environment and utilizing the best in class risk framework, Risk teams are analytically curious, have an aptitude for challenges and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
- Capital Risk team within the Risk Division provides an independent view into the capital decisions across the firm. The team advises on regulatory capital interpretations and firmwide capital management decisions. Coverage also includes monitoring, analyzing, interpreting, and challenging the firm’s regulatory capital requirements and capital management processes. This involves working very closely with stakeholders across the firm, including trading desks, Controllers, Legal, Corporate Treasury and Technology, and will require a strong control mindset. Other responsibilities include oversight of the firm’s capital strategy and the firm’s proximity to capital requirements.
- Liquidity Risk is the independent risk management function responsible for identifying, quantifying, and managing the liquidity risk of the firm. We work closely with Corporate Treasury, Controllers, Operations, Global Banking & Markets, Asset & Wealth Management Divisions, as well as the broader Risk organization to provide independent risk assessment and oversight of the firm s liquidity risk taking.
- Market Risk Specialists (MR) are part of the Risk business and are responsible for effective deployment of the firm’s market risk appetite, prudent risk management and regulatory compliance for the Firm’s market risks. This is achieved through the proactive application of expert knowledge, judgement and risk management capabilities including limit setting. Activities are centered on Risk management and analysis, transparency and escalation of Risk, Supervision and overall process improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field.
- Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses
- Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
- Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders
- Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
- Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgment
